This time of year is always so bitter sweet. Summer is coming to an end, however, the days are still long, the weather is usually great, and a new school year is closing in. Which means my calendar fills up with senior portrait sessions.

Last week Eric came out to the farm for his senior pictures. What a great cooperative kid. I know from experience that senior boys typically aren’t that thrilled to have their senior pictures done. I try to work fast and keep the session moving, and the boys usually appreciate that. So Eric, thank you for being so willing to get in all these great shots. I wish you the best of luck for your Senior Year.

Emily – Class of 2015 | KDB Photography Andover Senior Photographer

August 7th, 2014

My blog has been a bit neglected, and it’s not because of lack of sessions. I think having my Facebook business page, just makes it too easy to forget about blogging. However, my goal is to try to blog a bit more the end of this summer and fall. I can’t think of a better […]

My blog has been a bit neglected, and it’s not because of lack of sessions. I think having my Facebook business page, just makes it too easy to forget about blogging. However, my goal is to try to blog a bit more the end of this summer and fall.

I can’t think of a better way to start blogging again, than by sharing pictures from tonight’s Senior Session with Emily. She is such a wonderful well rounded girl. I really could have continued her for hours. And, if you’ve ever had a session with me, you know that “one more”, never means one more. I was so happy that Emily didn’t mind.

Good luck with YOUR senior year Emily and with your upcoming Volleyball Season (Go HUSKIES). You will do great things! #classof2015 #seniorgirlsrock

Madison | KDB Minnesota Winter Senior Photographer

I have been waiting and waiting for the weather to get above 2 degrees so Madison and I could go out and take some fun winter pictures. This weekend it finally happened. I have been waiting and waiting for the weather to get above 2 degrees so Madison and I could go out and take some fun winter pictures. This weekend it finally happened. For while there I didn’t think Minnesota was ever going to see temperatures in the 30′s again, but all good things come to those who wait. it was the perfect way to end a great mother daughter weekend with Madison and myself. Thanks for “Making Memories” Madison. Love ya lots.

My Madison 2013 | KDB Photography

October 14th, 2013

There is not enough room on this page to say all the great things I want to say about my Daughter Madison. She is such a humble young lady, that it makes me so very proud to say she is my daughter. I wish I could take credit for her huge heart, but I think it is just who she is. She truly does bring out the best in everyone she is around, and it makes me smile when I hear others feel the same way. She makes me laugh and makes me cry, she is the one her friends lean on for support. She is a girl who loves to read, loves country music, loves to dress up and be pretty. But then there is the part of her that loves the outdoors, from bow hunting to fishing from hiking in to wakeboarding, she is not afraid to try new things. This is a girl who really does try it all, and it makes me proud as her Mom to watch her succeed in her accomplishments. Madison no matter what path you take, you are bound for great things. Stay sweet and honest.

My heart melted a little tonight. Oliver stole my heart 3 years ago, and every year he steals another little piece, and after looking at his sneak peek, I know he’ll steal a little piece of your heart too! Syliva and Vivian are no strangers to my blog, as is their big brother Oliver. However, […]

Syliva and Vivian are no strangers to my blog, as is their big brother Oliver. However, getting them all three together in one photo is sometimes a challenge. But tonight these three were all smiles and giggles. What a great night it was. I’m so happy to get to watch these three kiddo’s grow up.

Devon – Class of 2014 | KDB Anoka County Senior Photographer

I love this time of year for multiple reasons, but my main reason is getting to meet so many great High School Seniors. Every senior session I shoot has such a different style to it, which is exactly what I enjoy. Last weeks senior session was with Devon, what a great young man, so polite and easy going. He made me laugh a few times, the moment that stands out is when I was showing him a few images on the LCD screen. He saw his serious face, and told me he could do a better serious than that, which seemed pretty perfected to me :) I shot his session by the Rum River, which is a location that works so well because of the diversity.

I hope you enjoyed the session as much as I did Devon. Enjoy the teasers while I finish up your gallery.

Gabrielle and her Mom came up to the farm for her Senior Portraits a few weeks ago. I have been waiting waiting to blog these, however life has just been busy. But today was the day, and while I was going through these, I could totally hear Gabrielle’s laugh. This girl was just fun to photograph, she is just so full of life and laughter. Thanks so much for such a fun time. Enjoy the sneak peek. The gallery will be up very very soon!

Price can be a little stinker, but I know he is going to make me smile and laugh with his silly faces. And I know Miss Kendell is going to be a little shy, but those beautiful blues still shine.

Jen, you have two wonderful kids, and I enjoy my time capturing your family. Thanks, and enjoy the peek.

Today I spent the day looking back at all of my session from 2011. I can’t believe the year went by so fast, it seems like only a few weeks ago sweet Addison was here for her one year session, but se was acutally my first session of 2011!! KDB Photography really did have a fantastic year, I saw a lot of familiar faces and a lot of new ones as well. Every sessions was just as unique as the family, we had many laughs, a few tears, and a lot of smiles. I have to say that my most memorable moment from a 2011 was from a session w/ two little boys. I had them jump off a log and run toward me, well, they didn’t stop once they got to me, the proceeded to tackle me and I’m pretty sure I got licked on the face. It makes me laugh just thinking about it. Oh what I won’t do for the shot.

If you had a session with me in 2011, I would just like to say thank you for choosing me to capture a little piece of history for your family. With so many choices out there for photographers, I truly am greatful for all of my wonderful clients. You have helped make KDB Photography what it is today. I look forward to many great sessions in 2012.
