I have been trying to blog this family session from two weeks ago, but time just keeps getting away from me. So tonight, while their gallery is uploading, I’m blogging.

Tony and Megan have been LONG time loyal customers, and it really is an honor to see them every year. I am so happy to have been a part of some very important memories for them. Their family continues to grow and change. The girls (and Roxy the lab) are growing up and it’s so much fun to literally play with them during our session. Last fall little Eleanor (and Roxy) didn’t want anything to do with pictures, but this time, she was much more into it (Eleanor not Roxy, I think the dog was just hot). And Josephine, well, I can only remember one time when she didn’t want to have her picture taken. She comes ready to be my model every time. She is such a great big sister, and so full of smiles.

Thanks again for a wonderful morning and the cheesecake you made Megan was delicious. You have my cake business!

Welcome Baby Elliott!!!

A few weeks ago I had the privilege to photograph this sweet little newborn, Elliott, he is just perfect! Although he made his appearance a little later than his due date, this little lover was a perfect newborn poser. From his tiny little toes, to his chubby little cheeks he made my day. Thank you Megan & Mitch for choosing KDB Photography to capture these important moments. I truly enjoyed our session.

A Mommy Moment | KDB Anoka County Photographer

As a Mom to three great kids, I know how fast the time goes. When your baby or child is in a certain stage, we can’t wait for him or her to be able to do the next stage. From crawling to walking or preschool to kindergarten, middle school to high school, we are always excited for that next stage. But then as our children get older and we look back, we may not have always appreciated what they were doing right then in that moment. I know I am guilty of it, but I am thankful I have pictures to help me remember the good times we had during each of those stages and who we were as a family during that time. One of my favorite quotes is from the Dreamworks Movie Kung Fu Panda, “Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery, Today is GIFT that is why it is called the Present”. Today really is a gift, and sometimes we don’t realize how great it really was until we are looking back at it.

Laura, I hope one day when you are looking back at these pictures of you and your sweet baby boy, you will remember how great of a day it was. Thank you for letting me capture these for you.

Two IS Better than One | KDB Anoka County Baby Photographer

August 27th, 2013

It’s like that commercial, would you rather have less or more, well I personally would rather have MORE of these two twin girls Vivian and Sylvia. They really know how to steal a persons heart, and put a perma smile on your face. Over the last year I have had the opportunity to be a […]

It’s like that commercial, would you rather have less or more, well I personally would rather have MORE of these two twin girls Vivian and Sylvia. They really know how to steal a persons heart, and put a perma smile on your face. Over the last year I have had the opportunity to be a part of important milestones in their lives. And watching them change and grow in front of my lens has been wonderful. Thanks for the wonderful year! Enjoy this sneak peek!

Ashlyn Day 11 | KDB St Francis Newborn Photographer

December 22nd, 2012

It’s always an honor to photograph a newborn baby. Even more so when this is the 3rd baby you have photographed for a family. Which is the case with 11 day old Ashlyn. I had the pleasure of meeting little Ashlyn last week and she is the newest (and cutest) baby on the block. At […]

It’s always an honor to photograph a newborn baby. Even more so when this is the 3rd baby you have photographed for a family. Which is the case with 11 day old Ashlyn. I had the pleasure of meeting little Ashlyn last week and she is the newest (and cutest) baby on the block. At only 11 days old it was easy to see she was very well loved by all of those around her. Congratulations John and Sarah, I look forward to our next session.

Gabrielle and her Mom came up to the farm for her Senior Portraits a few weeks ago. I have been waiting waiting to blog these, however life has just been busy. But today was the day, and while I was going through these, I could totally hear Gabrielle’s laugh. This girl was just fun to photograph, she is just so full of life and laughter. Thanks so much for such a fun time. Enjoy the sneak peek. The gallery will be up very very soon!

It seems like forever that I have been photographing Jen and her two great kids. They have all been on the other end of my camera multiple times, and each time we have a fun and memorable session. Price can be a little stinker, but I know he is going to make me smile and laugh with his silly faces. And I know Miss Kendell is going to be a little shy, but those beautiful blues still shine.

Jen, you have two wonderful kids, and I enjoy my time capturing your family. Thanks, and enjoy the peek.

It’s that time of a year again, when my calendar fills up with fall sessions, kids sports and all the other things life throws at me. But no matter how busy I am, I always make room for family and I know she does the same for me when I need her. Thank you so much for all you do for me KoLynn, you are a great sister and I’m lucky to have you in my life. Kendra you your kiddos are next! Love you lots!!

I bet I have looked at this image over 100 times since Saturday and everytime I look at it my heart beats a little faster and a smile comes across my face. This is what I love about my job. Creating a moment that only lasted for a few minutes, but capurting it for a lifetime. I hope one day years from now you will look at this picture and feel all the emotion you felt that day in this moment.

It doesn’t get much better than this. She doesn’t have David wrapped around one finger, she has him wrapped around all ten!

A few short months ago, I met Ruby. She was only a few days old at her newborn session, and such a fiesty little newborn she was. Now she is a little over two months old, and growing quickly. I didn’t get the chance to blog her newborn session, so I have included a few of my favorites from that session at the end of this post. Thanks Matt and Jackie, enjoy every moment!

Ruby has the most beautiful eyes, we had to work for a smile, but if you have ever had a session with me, you know I’m determined, and willing to go to extream measures to get those smiles. So I had to start this blog post with the very very last shot from my session with Ruby. Good things do come to those who wait.
