I am Kati Berwald owner and photographer of KDB Photography. I am a Mother of three wonderful children who have provided me with so many opportunities over the years, I will never be able to thank them enough. I am married to my High School Sweetheart, he has been there with me each step of the way. For that I am very greatful.
KDB Photography has been evolving and growing over the past three years. I have been very fortunate and have you, my wonderful clients to thank!! I have met so many fantastic people, and really love creating lasting memories from our sessions.

Gabrielle and her Mom came up to the farm for her Senior Portraits a few weeks ago. I have been waiting waiting to blog these, however life has just been busy. But today was the day, and while I was going through these, I could totally hear Gabrielle’s laugh. This girl was just fun to photograph, she is just so full of life and laughter. Saturday was the perfect evening to photograph this sweet senior Audrey. Audrey and her Mom came prepared with outfit after outfit, it was so much fun to see what was coming out of the bag next. We started with some studio stuff, and then headed down by the Rum River. I was pleasently surprised that the water has finally gone back down. I haven’t been able to shoot by the river all summer, and have been waiting patiently. So I was happy when Audrey wanted to take some shots and venture the rocks with me. I love shooting in the fields however, my allergies have told me I better stay clear for awhile. But for shots like this, I’ll take a little pain. Love it!

Those of you that follow my blog might recognize MiKayla from our session last fall. Well, she was back for another round of senior pictures. Since our last session, MiKayla has been accepted to a great College, and will be playing volleyball for them this fall. I wish MiKayla the best, she truly is a wonderful person with a heart of gold. Plus she laughed at my jokes 
MiKayla’s Mom did some scouting and wanted to try a few shots by the drain. I think it worked out great!

It feels so good to get back outside and shoot. Although the calendar says March, the temperature says December, eventually winter will end. In the mean time Jonathan and his Mom met me in Downtown Anoka for Jonathans senior pictures. This boy has a smile that can light up a room. Meet Kayla. This girl was so fun and so easy to photograph. She came prepared with so many great outfit combinations, that I knew when we when headed to Down Town Anoka she was going to fit right in. I think this is one of my favorites from the morning!!! I love this wall and her outfit was PERFECT for it!
This great jacket came from I Appeal, which is also downtown anoka, so we had to take at least one shot in front of the store. I think I’m going to have to go in and see what I can find for my own closet! I did see some pretty great boots in the window, that I’m pretty sure had my name on them!!

A few weeks ago I took senior pictures for Ambers twin sister Paula. Well, Monday was Ambers turn and she was just as fun and energetic as her sister Paula. For Ambers session we headed downtown Anoka for some fun urban pictures. She came prepared with a ton of outfits! We braved the wind and the rain held off, and nearly got rain over by a bicycle. It was a great session!! Later on Paula crashed the session and we did a few shots of the two of them together. These two are so much fun! Thanks for the fun time Amber, enjoy your sneak peek.

First off how can you not like a girl with a name like Katie or Kati

I took Katie’s pictures up at the farm and we had to dodge a few dogs and some bald eagles. While we were doing the silhouette shot a bald eagle baby flew not that far away from Katie’s head. But it was all worth it. Thanks so much for coming up. Enjoy the sneak peek so many more to come!

Fall sure is a busy time of year. But when you get great kids like these two it makes my job so much fun. James and Ashley are cousins and we piggy backed their senior pictures. It worked out very well. Both of these two were so easy going and their pictures truly reflect who they are. We did a few studio shots, then headed downtown Anoka to take advantage of all the fun spots Anoka has to offer.
James brought his Bass Guitar with him. He is in a garage band. Ashley brought her warm personality and her wonderful smile. I really enjoyed photographing these two. Enjoy the sneak peek!
