I don’t know where the last two years went! Jack has turned into such a little boy. We went up to the farm where I knew there would be a lot of fun boy things for him to climb on and around. He was really into the old three wheeler and his tractor. Thanks for the great session! Enjoy the peek.

October 6th, 2011

Sweet little Oliver was back this week for his one year session. I really don’t know where the last six months have gone, but when I figure it out I’ll be sure to let the rest of you know. Oliver was just as handsome this time as he was the last time, and stole my [...]

Oliver was just as handsome this time as he was the last time, and stole my heart one more time. His baby blue eyes had that same sparkle as did his sweet smile. Thanks for the fun session, enjoy the peak! Kati

Audrey Class of 2012 | KDB Anoka County Senior Photographer

September 27th, 2011

Saturday was the perfect evening to photograph this sweet senior Audrey. Audrey and her Mom came prepared with outfit after outfit, it was so much fun to see what was coming out of the bag next. We started with some studio stuff, and then headed down by the Rum River. I was pleasently surprised that [...]

Saturday was the perfect evening to photograph this sweet senior Audrey. Audrey and her Mom came prepared with outfit after outfit, it was so much fun to see what was coming out of the bag next. We started with some studio stuff, and then headed down by the Rum River. I was pleasently surprised that the water has finally gone back down. I haven’t been able to shoot by the river all summer, and have been waiting patiently. So I was happy when Audrey wanted to take some shots and venture the rocks with me. Thanks for the great session Audrey, you are a wonderful girl! Enjoy the sneak peek.

I love shooting in the fields however, my allergies have told me I better stay clear for awhile. But for shots like this, I’ll take a little pain. Love it!

The Next Chapter | KDB St Francis Photographer

September 1st, 2011

A new chapter in my sweet Madison’s book will be begining in a few short days. That chapter will be titled High School. Just typing it out makes me want to puke, but I am excited for her as well as nervous. The past six months we have been preparing for this day and it’s [...]

A new chapter in my sweet Madison’s book will be begining in a few short days. That chapter will be titled High School. Just typing it out makes me want to puke, but I am excited for her as well as nervous. The past six months we have been preparing for this day and it’s almost here. We have went shopping for new clothes, we have attended orientation, she has her locker and knows her schedule, all the prep work has been done. All that’s left is that dredded first day. I think it has been easier preparing my youngest for kindergarten than it has been preparing Me, I mean Madison for High School. Walking her in that school to find her classes, my stomach was in just as many knots as hers. High School is such an important time in a young persons life, that I just want her experiences to be memorable and perfect. Together we will face many challenges and together we will work through them. And before I know it, she will be off to college. Okay I’ll stop there. I love you Madison, you mean the world to me!! Good luck with your freshman year. I am always here for you! Love Mom!

Last year I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a sweet tiny newborn named Qumman. Well, Qumman recently turned one, and came back with her Mom, Dad, Sister, Auntie and Grandparents. This session filled my heart with so much love, that I didn’t want it to end. It’s families like this that make me love [...]

This session filled my heart with so much love, that I didn’t want it to end. It’s families like this that make me love what I do even more. Thank you for the wonderful time, cherish this week and hold onto to these memories. They are what will get you through the days when you are apart! Safe travels!

Big Sister Quatra giving me such a serious look, but it didn’t last long. Lot’s of smiles came after this. She is just such a stunning little girl, and such personality.

The farm was alive with so many different creatures today. But this little butterfly behind Qumman decided he needed to spread his wings and show us his colors. Love this first shot!

Matai and his Mom and Dad came up the other night for his One Year pictures. He was just the sweetest little one year old boy and was a great little model. I think he has his parents just where he likes them, and by the end of the session he had me wrapped around his finger too!! Once he warmed up to me we had him laughing (which was very cute), and the smiles where huge! Enjoy the sneak peek, and thanks for the great session!

Looking at all of the images from this morning just makes me smile. Just like last time, big Brother Alex loved the camera, everytime I would say his name he would turn and smile. While little brother Jake took some warming up, but after a few grasshopper hunts he warmed up.

I truly had a wonderful time photographing you guys. Enjoy the sneak peek!

What a fantastic time I had tonight with Grace. We started Downtown Anoka and ended at Lake George. The weather was just perfect and Grace was just a fantastic little model. What a fantastic time I had tonight with Grace. We started Downtown Anoka and ended at Lake George. The weather was just perfect and Grace was just a fantastic little model. Like my past sessions with her, she truly does make my heart sing. Grace is now three and is just the funniest little girl, from the faces she makes to the things she says, she will bring a smile to your face everytime!

I love the brick and the buildings that Downtown Anoka has to offer. There really are so many great spots that keeping things fresh and different is so easy. Here we are on the corner by my favorite Jewelry Store… can you guess the name of it, to late, it’s Dan Gould Jewelry.

I love this next series, what a little ham. I asked Grace to dance, and that she did. I think she could teach me a move or two :)

After Downtown we headed over to the wild flower field, which is in full bloom. Seriously, this is one of my top five spots to go, even if I don’t have a session I still love hanging out at this spot.

And finally Lake George. I asked Grace to give her little brother Jack a kiss… but I think she was telling him “it’s okay you don’t have to sit still, Kati will just chase you and follow you, see watch me…”

Thanks for fun filled Evening. Enjoy the sneak peek, which got to be a little bigger than a peek, but I know you will enjoy these! Kati

I had the pleasure of working with this wondrful family the other night. We met downtown Anoka, and everything went perfectly. It is always an honor to photograph families. You get to be a part of their history and capture those moments that will remain with them forever. I truly enjoyed every minute of my session with them, and it’s so easy to feel how much love this family has for each other.

These two little girls were awesome, the love and excitment they had for each other was a breath of fresh air.
