Sometimes timing is everything, which was the case this past Saturday. The stars were aligned and things worked out so that I was able to shoot Katelyns newborn session at her house. While I was there we did a little lifestyle family stuff. Big Brother Dylan as always, and I do mean always a ball of energy. I have been photographing him since he was one, and everytime he is on the move. He reminds me so much of my now 9 year old son Tyson, from his energy to his tantrums, it’s who they are.

Kids go through their stages of life so quickly that sometimes while our kids are in a certain stage we can’t wait for them to move on and get to that next stage, meanwhile we are missing who they are that day. So having these little reminders of a certain face or certain toys really is a time capsule in the making. One day we will look back at these moments and wonder where the time went.

So enjoy part one of this two part blog post. I truly had a fantastic time Erik and Emily. You have two wonderful kiddos!

I want to start off by saying, I haven’t been hiding under a rock it was just a CRAZY busy fall. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep up w/ the blogging from here on out. My newborn session from tonight with Jared, Ashley & Glen is the perfect session to start the blog rolling again.

Meet Glen, five days old and just perfect in every way. I have had a lot of newborn sessions and they have all been truly wonderful, but Glen’s session was honestly my best newborn session ever. He slept like a rock from the time he got here until the time we were done. Jared and Ashley I hope he didn’t keep you up all night as payback. It’s those sleepless nights that make us appreciate those little babies that much more. Enjoy the sneak peek, I look forward to sharing them all with you guys.

This little Carhart hat was just the cutest little thing.

Unlike most 3 year olds, Josie loves little bugs and critters. At one point she had a caterpillar in one hand and a cricket in the other, she has no fear of bugs. Cody was just as sweet as usual, he is a typical 17 month old, on the move and would rather be doing anything else excpet sitting still. After a few tricks and a cat or two sitting on my shoulders, we were able to catch his attention long enough to show those beautiful blue eyes.

Thanks for the fantastic time guys. Enjoy your sneak peek.

A Full Heart | KDB Photography St Francis Family Photograher

Last year I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a sweet tiny newborn named Qumman. Well, Qumman recently turned one, and came back with her Mom, Dad, Sister, Auntie and Grandparents. This session filled my heart with so much love, that I didn’t want it to end. It’s families like this that make me love [...]

Last year I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a sweet tiny newborn named Qumman. Well, Qumman recently turned one, and came back with her Mom, Dad, Sister, Auntie and Grandparents. This session filled my heart with so much love, that I didn’t want it to end. It’s families like this that make me love what I do even more. Thank you for the wonderful time, cherish this week and hold onto to these memories. They are what will get you through the days when you are apart! Safe travels!

Big Sister Quatra giving me such a serious look, but it didn’t last long. Lot’s of smiles came after this. She is just such a stunning little girl, and such personality.

The farm was alive with so many different creatures today. But this little butterfly behind Qumman decided he needed to spread his wings and show us his colors. Love this first shot!

I had such a wonderful time with Brandi, Mike and Maylena on Saturday. Sweet little Maylena has grown up so much since my last session with her. I have a a display up at my studio of Maylena, and every time I walk into my studio her sweet little face greets me. It was a bit of a shock seeing her in person again, I knew she was 16 months old, however, I’m so used to seeing her as a 6 month old. She really is growing up so fast, and talking too!

Saturday was a bit of a weather rollercoaster, we did have to take a little break in the middle of our session because of rain, however, we were able to finish it off before she got too upset with me.

Thanks again for the fun session guys! Enjoy the peek.

Looking at all of the images from this morning just makes me smile. Just like last time, big Brother Alex loved the camera, everytime I would say his name he would turn and smile. While little brother Jake took some warming up, but after a few grasshopper hunts he warmed up.

I truly had a wonderful time photographing you guys. Enjoy the sneak peek!

You get to be a part of their history and capture those moments that will remain with them forever. I truly enjoyed every minute of my session with them, and it’s so easy to feel how much love this family has for each other.

These two little girls were awesome, the love and excitment they had for each other was a breath of fresh air.

She, like always was on the move. Lilah has never liked to make my job easy, and Monday nights session was no exception. But I came prepared with some new tricks of my own, and I believe I won. We really did have a great time and a fantastic session. I’m so glad the rain held off and we were able to enjoy our evening.

Thanks for the fun time guys, and enjoy the sneak peek!
