The unofficial kick-off to summer begins this Friday here in St. Francis, Pioneer Days 2010. Last year, I had so much fun meeting so many wonderful people, that I wasn’t going to let the opportunity pass to do it again.

My booth will be filled with a lot of great samples and displays and Roger (Our Family Turtle for the Turtle Races). I’ll also be holding a few different contests and having some fun games for the kiddies. So if you’re going to be around St. Francis June 12th or 13th, come and swing by Community Park and say hi. While you are there, take a guess at home many Skittles are in the jar. Below is a sneak peek. If you can’t make it to the park this weekend, feel free to leave a guess under the comment section here on my blog. The person who guesses the correct number (or the closest) will receive a jar of skittles, how awesome is that. Okay I’m kidding, but the winner will receive a complimentary photo session. If there is a tie, then we will have a skittle eating contest, or maybe we’ll just draw out of a hat. I will announce the winner on Monday, June 14th.

And here is Roger (or Kevin). My kids seem to think he looks like one of those two names, LOL. So maybe a combo of them both like Rovin or Keger, then again I’m not sure he is a he. Either way, Roger is a pretty fast turtle. Racing runs in his blood, and his ancestors have won many turtle races in the past. Let’s hope Roger is up for the challenge. The turtle races start at 11 a.m. so get there early, you don’t want to miss Rogers big debut!!

My most popular products are 8×10’s and 5×7’s. Those sizes work great for coffee tables and desks as well as some walls. But if you have never ordered a large print, now is the time. Once you see how amazing your portraits look printed big you will never look back. Choose art for your walls that bring a smile to your face.

Now through the end of March, I am running a special, a little incentive to PRINT BIG. Purchase ANY portrait 10×20 and larger or any Canvas or Float Wrap 11×14 and larger and receive the corresponding digital image with print release for FREE.

Below are some examples of some BIG PRINT Ideas.

One of my goals for 2010 was to update and create a new blog.  Well, we are only 1 month down for 2010 and that is one thing I can check off my to-do’s.  I have a lot of great things planned for 2010 and I can’t wait to share them all with you.

Here is a sneak peek of one of the new products I’m offering for 2010.  They are 5×7 dream boxes and come filled with either 12 or 24 mounted 5×7 prints.  These are beautiful boxes and look great on any coffee or end table.

Why Choose KDB

January 4, 2010

With so many photographers and photography studios to choose from, why should you choose KDB Photography.

Personal service – If you go to a large chain studio, you are in and out in before you know it. When you come to KDB for your session, you get more than a “session” you walk away with a feeling of enjoyment and satisfaction. I get to know your family and your kids and really enjoy spending time photographing them.

Online gallery hosting – It’s hard to know what portraits your family members will want. So give them the access code to your gallery and let them choose their favorites. Place your order from the comfort of your own home at your convenience.

Choices – Your online proof gallery will have a large variety of proofs for you to choose from. When you are ready to order, you will have a large variety of collections to pick from as well as other products to fit your personal print needs.

Locations – I use a wide variety of locations which offer a lot of variety and diverse settings. You can be assured that no matter where I take your portraits, the end results will be images that you cherish forever. Every time you look at those portraits, you will remember the fun time we had.

Creativity – During your session we will be sure to get a few traditional shots, but after that I look beyond the viewfinder and see what is going on within our surroundings. I will be capturing those moments and faces that don’t last forever. Your children are unique and what they do today maybe not be what they do tomorrow. So let’s capture who your kids are today before all the tomorrows are gone.

I guarantee you will love the experience you have during your session. Schedule your session by calling KDB at 612-226-1713 or by dropping me an email.

I have a lot of great things planned for 2010 and look forward to seeing some familiar faces as well as seeing some new faces.
