Jack knew just what to do when his mom and I put him in front of the cake.
Step one Cry

I really can not belive that sweet little Jack is turning one!! I first met Jack when he was only 11 days old. I really have enjoyed seeing Jack every three months. Every session I had with Jack I always ended with a smile! He really is one of the sweetest babies I’ve ever met, so laid back and fun. Here are a few of my favorites from his past sessions.

And here are some from Jack’s one year session! We also did a smash cake session, I’ll be posting those in a seperate blog post. Jack’s Big Sister Grace came with as well, she really makes me laugh. Grace has also changed so much in the last year. For only be 2 years old, she really knows what she wants, but when you here her laugh, it just melts your heart!

This morning I started early and met Trevor and Claire and their two beautiful children. Their daughter Heidi is an absolute doll. Her Mom pulled some tricks and we managed to capture Heidi’s attention. And little Nolan was such a sweet baby boy. He is only 6 months old and almost sits all by himself. What a big boy!
Enjoy the preview, lots more to come!

Dylan came over for his one year pictures this past Friday and dispite the heat, he was GREAT. He is such a sweet little boy and not shy towards me at all, which was wonderful, because who wouldn’t love to snuggle with this little bug!!! His Mom and Dad came prepared with a few of his favorite attention grabbers and I pulled out some of my best moves as well. Thanks for coming up Emily and Erik, enjoy the sneak peek!! You have a great baby, enjoy these times because they grow all too fast!!
He was too sure of the sand at first, but it didn’t take him long to figure out it wasn’t so bad!

This face makes me melt!! I told Erik and Emily they could leave him at my house for the weekend!!

Cameron’s Mom was the lucky winner from my Booth at Pioneer Days a few weeks ago. I had 584 skittles in the jar and she guessed the closest with 560. I had such a great time with them tonight, they were my third and final session for the day, and it was a great day! This little guy was on the move from the moment we started. He wanted to be everywhere, but with help from Mom, we figured out how to get him to sit…for a second

Meet Tayla, she is one busy little girl. Staying in spot for very long is not something she is good at, but then what one year old is right. That’s alright I was ready for the challenge. I took Tayla down to one of my favorite spots by the Rum River. It was a beautiful sunny day and the weather was wonderful. Her Mom, Grandma & I all did our best to get some smiles out of her. I think we did pretty good. After a fun time playing outside we came back and wrapped up the session with some indoor shots. I loved her little polk-a-dotted shirt.
I really had a great time with all of you today. Enjoy the sneak peek, lot’s more to come.

Last Saturday was a busy but what a FUN day. My best friend Nancy was back in Minnesota for her Dad’s wedding. The weather was picture perfect, so after the wedding, we took full advantage of all the fun places on the farm. This time it was just Connor in the pictures, because big sister Carley wasn’t feel the best.
Connor was sporting his John Deere shirt which was perfect for all the John Deere equipment around the farm. Lot’s of great contrasting colors.

Can you believe this is the first time this handsome little guy has had his pictures taken. He was so much fun to photograph. That being said, we did have to work a little to get some smiles. And by “we” I mean his Dad had to really work HARD to get him to smile. I think we all tried, but Ben gets a gold star for going above and beyond to get those smiles.
I can honestly say I have never laughed as hard or as much as I have at this session. Sometimes I wish I could video pullbacks from sessions so people can really see the “behind the scenes” of a session. If we would’ve been videoing, I’m sure there could’ve been some clips that showed up on AFV. Ben was pretty funny, but not as funny as the reaction that Mom got when she found out she had a woodtick in her hair. Poor Blake got the short end of the deal and was left to fend for himself while his Mom ran out of the grass and onto the gravel.
All in all it was a fantastic session, and a lot of memories were made!! Enjoy the sneak peek, there are a lot more to come!

Sweet Little Grace came over yesterday for her 2 year pictures. However, we had to be a little sneaky because Grace is like most 2 year olds and would rather not be in front of the camera. After some coaxing and some bribing and of course some playing she was more relaxed. We ended up with a lot of great pictures. Enjoy the sneak peek, lot’s more to come!

I had to include this in with the sneak peek, because it just makes me smile! As parents we like to remember the good times and the smiles, but life isn’t always full of smiles all the time! Life as a parent is challenging, and images like this one remind us of those challenges!
