No two portrait sessions are ever the same. KDB Photography only takes a limited number of session a month. This ensures that when you book your session with KDB, you will be given the attention you deserve.
So HI, I’m Kati, Photographer and Owner of KDB Photography. I specialize in senior portraits, newborn photography, toddlers and child photography. Does this mean that I don’t do other sessions? No, I also offer family sessions, engagement and weddings.
KDB Photography is located in St Francis, MN which is in Northern Anoka County. I generally use locations around St Francis and Anoka, however, if you have a location that is special to you, I’m all for it.

Little Owen sure is growing fast. I really look forward when he comes over for a session. He is just such a sweet baby boy. This time Owen brought his Daddy and Dog with. Now getting both Owen and Duke to smile and look at me was a bit of a challenge but in the end everything worked out. Enjoy the sneak peek guys!
This morning I started early and met Trevor and Claire and their two beautiful children. Their daughter Heidi is an absolute doll. Her Mom pulled some tricks and we managed to capture Heidi’s attention. And little Nolan was such a sweet baby boy. He is only 6 months old and almost sits all by himself. What a big boy!

Today I got to meet Thomas & Lauren. Their Mom, Melissa was the high bidder on my basket I donated to a silent auction. However, it wasn’t just any silent auction, I donated a bunch of goodies for a benefit for Melissa’s Sister Julie. Julie is a beautiful wife and mother, and was diagnosed with breast cancer, she has been so strong throughout her treatment and is surrounded by an awesome support group of friends and family! So Melissa, dispite how we met, I had a fantastic time photographing Thomas and Lauren, they were so fun!!
Today Kellie and John and their beautiful two kiddos met me for some family pictures. We had a great time, dispite the high temperatures and humidity. Kellie did a great job coordinating her families outfits, aren’t they just so cute!! We worked fast and got a lot of great shots, enjoy the sneak peek! Many more to come!!
Jim and Candy celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary earlier this month. And their wonderful Son and Daughter thought that they would give them the gift of a family portrait. Jim and Candy live on a lake so we used their backyard for todays session. I had a great time with this family, it’s always such an honor to be invited into someones life for the day and capture a little piece of it! Congratulations on your 40th anniversary, you have a very blessed life, surrounded by great family!
Tonight I headed down to Mayer for a family session. This family has a beautiful home which had so many great spots for pictures. I really did try to utilize all of their land the best I could, and probably could’ve kept on shooting, but the mosquitos were starting to get hungry.

Saturday was such a wonderful day. The sun was out, the temperatures were fantastic, overall, it was the perfect day for outdoor pictures.
I was very happy to be able to photograph these three kiddos. Their Mom and I have been best friends since we were in 1st grade, even though our busy schedules and busy lives keep us from seeing each other very much, we are still able to pick up where we leave off.
Now for the fun stuff. We headed downtown Hutchinson and did a few urban shots. The beautiful historic downtown didn’t disappoint, providing natural colors and backdrops. After a few urban shots, we headed over to the Crow River. The rocks and natural landscape were perfect. The kids were really able to relax and be themselves.
As we were wrapping things up, I called Kaeden over to look at the huge carp. Well, it was a little wet from all the rain and he basically slid 10 feet in the mud, poor guy, but man did we laugh!

These three little guys have made a few appearances on my blog. I’ve been photographing these guys since before there was 3. Their Mom and I have been friends since we were in Kindergarden it’s great to have friends that you have litteraly known “forever”. Thanks for the fun time yesterday Kim and Matt. Brody wasn’t feeling the best yesterday, so he wasn’t too easy to give up the smiles. We had to work for it, but this is what we got. I LOVE it!
Aiden was all about the smiles for his 6 month pictures. He was a Very Happy boy! He has changed so much since I did his newborn pictures. But I guess babies do that.
Little Jaylee and his parents came over today for their first ever family portraits. Jaylee was so sweet and very easy going! I met this family through my Sister in Law who is a home nurse to Jaylee! He truly is a gift! Enjoy the sneak peek guys!
After 10 years Chris and Billi are still in love. You can just feel the chemistry these two have. We had a lot of fun and captured a lot of wonderful moments between the two of them. These pictures are extra special to Billi and Chris. They are both certified barbers and Chris works in the barber shop that Billi’s Dad has owned for years. So taking the session over there really meant a lot to them both! Enjoy the sneak peek!!
