Saturday was the perfect evening to photograph this sweet senior Audrey. Audrey and her Mom came prepared with outfit after outfit, it was so much fun to see what was coming out of the bag next. We started with some studio stuff, and then headed down by the Rum River. I was pleasently surprised that the water has finally gone back down. I haven’t been able to shoot by the river all summer, and have been waiting patiently. So I was happy when Audrey wanted to take some shots and venture the rocks with me. Thanks for the great session Audrey, you are a wonderful girl! Enjoy the sneak peek.

I love shooting in the fields however, my allergies have told me I better stay clear for awhile. But for shots like this, I’ll take a little pain. Love it!

Sarah, John and the kids were all back the other day for an updated family session. We headed up to the farm where there is always so much going on. Unlike most 3 year olds, Josie loves little bugs and critters. At one point she had a caterpillar in one hand and a cricket in the other, she has no fear of bugs. Cody was just as sweet as usual, he is a typical 17 month old, on the move and would rather be doing anything else excpet sitting still. After a few tricks and a cat or two sitting on my shoulders, we were able to catch his attention long enough to show those beautiful blue eyes.

Thanks for the fantastic time guys. Enjoy your sneak peek.

Cara + Jake | KDB Anoka County Engagement Photographer

September 24th, 2011

Cara and Jake were just too cute for words. We tried several times to do some serious shots, but Cara serisously is all smiles. These two will be getting married September 2012, and I know I will have just as much fun at their wedding as I did during their engagment session. I can’t believe […]

These two will be getting married September 2012, and I know I will have just as much fun at their wedding as I did during their engagment session. I can’t believe I have to wait a whole year before the wedding, but their special day will be here before I know it.

This is one of my favorite engagment shots ever.

I had the pleasure of shooting Erin and Eric’s engagement session mid last week. These two met only 6 months ago, but it’s easy to see exactly how much they both truly love and care for each other. I asked Eric how they met, and the excitment that came through in his story was just infectious. It really was a story of love at first sight. Eric is currently serving our country and was home on a two week leave. I’m so happy I was able to capture these images of them together before Eric heads back over seas. Erin it was wonderful to see you again, I wish you two many years of happiness! Enjoy the sneak peek!

And I couldn’t think of a happier way than to end the session with some fun “photobooth” type images. Enjoy!

When Sarah emailed me about a session, her subject line was “Two Busy Boys”. And tonight I had a great session with these two busy little boys Cayden and Will. These two were the sweetest most energetic boys I’ve photographed in awhile. They warmed right up to me and showed it by giving me a couple of huge “kisses” on my cheeks. Not what I expected but, I usually have a few unexpected moments during my sessions. Throughout the entire session these two were on the move, if one zigged the other zagged, which is how I’m guessing it is at home. Life with boys, you truly never know what each day is going to bring. I am very happy that I could help capture a little piece of your boys! Thank you for the fantastic time tonight. I truly had a wonderful time, enjoy the sneak peek!

I normally don’t post outtakes, but this one was way too good not too. If these were my boys, I would for sure be printing this for their rooms! I know my own son has so many different expressions, and it’s those images that really show who they are.

The Next Chapter | KDB St Francis Photographer

September 1st, 2011

A new chapter in my sweet Madison’s book will be begining in a few short days. That chapter will be titled High School. Just typing it out makes me want to puke, but I am excited for her as well as nervous. The past six months we have been preparing for this day and it’s […]

A new chapter in my sweet Madison’s book will be begining in a few short days. That chapter will be titled High School. Just typing it out makes me want to puke, but I am excited for her as well as nervous. The past six months we have been preparing for this day and it’s almost here. We have went shopping for new clothes, we have attended orientation, she has her locker and knows her schedule, all the prep work has been done. All that’s left is that dredded first day. I think it has been easier preparing my youngest for kindergarten than it has been preparing Me, I mean Madison for High School. Walking her in that school to find her classes, my stomach was in just as many knots as hers. High School is such an important time in a young persons life, that I just want her experiences to be memorable and perfect. Together we will face many challenges and together we will work through them. And before I know it, she will be off to college. Okay I’ll stop there. I love you Madison, you mean the world to me!! Good luck with your freshman year. I am always here for you! Love Mom!

Last year I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a sweet tiny newborn named Qumman. Well, Qumman recently turned one, and came back with her Mom, Dad, Sister, Auntie and Grandparents. Last year I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a sweet tiny newborn named Qumman. Well, Qumman recently turned one, and came back with her Mom, Dad, Sister, Auntie and Grandparents. This session filled my heart with so much love, that I didn’t want it to end. It’s families like this that make me love what I do even more. Thank you for the wonderful time, cherish this week and hold onto to these memories. They are what will get you through the days when you are apart! Safe travels!

Big Sister Quatra giving me such a serious look, but it didn’t last long. Lot’s of smiles came after this. She is just such a stunning little girl, and such personality.

The farm was alive with so many different creatures today. But this little butterfly behind Qumman decided he needed to spread his wings and show us his colors. Love this first shot!
